3D Runway Fashion.

Naturally, most live models walking on a catwalk are three dimensional, or nearly so, but Norma Kamali, for one, sees a greater potential for showing clothes in a 3-D film format, as she plans to do on Sept. 14. The clothes can be seen in more detail, she said, and the exact same show can then be seen by anyone watching from home on a computer. “Video is more descriptive, more entertaining and, really, the most detailed way to present a collection,” Ms. Kamali said.
Preparing her collection, she made a short film and a look book of images using 3-D technology that can be viewed in different formats, including with any old red/blue cardboard glasses. (They are scheduled to be shown at normakamali3d.com beginning Sept. 15.)
